Banana juice make a terrific conditioner for curly hair and avocado is full of beneficial essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals.
This Mayan Hair Butter is a wholesome delight for dry, damaged and super tangled hair.
Ingredients
1/4 cup spring water 1/4 cup fresh corn silk or 2 tablespoons dry corn silk
1/4 cup of sour cream
1/4 cup of strained banana juice
2 tablespoons jojobo, coconut or sunflower oil
Remove all the flesh from 1 ripe avocado
Instructions
Bring water to a boil. Add corn silk, cover and reduce heat to a low. simmer for 30 minutes.
Remove from heat and cool. Mix in sour cream, banana juice and sunflower oil. Blend together.
In a separate medium-sized bowl mash avocado. Beat with a whisk until a smooth paste forms
Strain the corn silk by pouring through a sieve over avocado paste.
Beat corn silk infusion and avocado util smooth and reamy. Add to sour cream mixture.
Before shampooing, apply Mayan Hair Butter to wet hair.
Massage through covering hair well. Cover hair a cap. Leave on hair from 30 to 60 minutes.
Rinse well well with cool water. Follow with a fragrant herbal shampoo.
